Senior Seminar Lab
Professor Terry Towery terryt@mac.com

Description:
Nobody is looking to "discover" you. It is your responsibility as an artist, whether commercial or fine art, to promote yourself and your work. This objective of this course is to help you learn how to promote yourself as an artist.

This class is an adjunct to the senior seminar. We will discuss self promotion and getting your work out in the world. We will discuss a number of strategies for artists of all kinds, commercial and personal, to get their work published and exhibited. Please feel free to bring work in at any time for discusssion and critique. The class will be run in a seminar style with discussion and class participation. The schedule below is a guidleine only and we will most likely change it during the term. I promise not to give an "make work" that will waste your valuable time however there are a few required assignments including a web site of your personal work and a print promotional piece of your choosing.
